May 29th, 2009 Frye “Deborah” Studded Booties

OK, so I am totally not from anywhere near the country, but there is definitely a bit of a country girl somewhere in me. From the songs to the boots and cowboy hats, I have country love. And I absolutely adore these Frye boots.

I love that they are booties because the wearing options open up completely and [...]

May 29th, 2009 Jimmy Choo “Tahiti” Glitter Peep-Toe Pumps

I will admit I have always been a sucker for Jimmy Choos. They are just so classic and chic. However, while constantly trying on new pairs, this is the first one I really have fallen in love with and want in my closet!

While I am not a huge glitter freak, the glitter on this pump is [...]

May 29th, 2009 Vera Wang Peep-Toe Pump

I really didn’t intend to write about all black shoes today, but that’s OK because I really don’t think you can have too many black shoes. I was happy to see that Vera Wang now has shoes at Neiman Marcus. I really like her fashion sensibilities. I like the look of her shoes at Kohls, [...]

May 29th, 2009 Christian Louboutin “Gabin” Platform Pumps

I don’t think you can ever go wrong with a basic Christian Louboutin pump, and I love this updated version with a wooden heel and platform.

This pump is still classic, but it’s a little more casual and perfect for summer! I love the thicker, wooden heel, and the way the platform is mostly concealed except [...]

May 29th, 2009 Melissa Rubber Ankle Boot

I have never been a fan of the Melissa rubber shoes, as a matter of fact I think they are little more than glorified jellies. However, these ankle boots are swaying my opinion a bit. They have a futuristic style that's pretty cool. I could wear these, especially on a rainy day. They have a four inch heel. A good thing about rubber shoes is that they are inexpensive! However Melissa shoes are designer rubber shoes, so your gonna pay more. $107 at Brownsfashion.com.

May 29th, 2009 Alexander McQueen Crystal Heel Sandals

These Alexander McQueen shoes are from his summer 2009 collection, and are, by far, the most fabulous and unique. His shoes are always spectacular, but these crystal heel sandals are pieces of art. The heels are 4.5 inch crystal shaped lucite and the straps are adorned with swarovski crystals. Something this fabulous will cost lots of cash, sadly out of my budget. The black sandal and the champagne colored sandal are $2,975 and the clear sandal is $1,320. Available at AlexanderMcQueen.com.

May 29th, 2009 Sandals

I don't know about you guys, but I absolutely live in sandals during the summer. I like the kind you can just slip on and go, no straps, buckles or ties. I also don't like to spend alot of money on them, and many inexpensive sandal makers offer great quality and design.

These Kenneth Cole Reaction Glam Girl sandals are very cute, with gemstone detail, and got great customer reviws for comfort and quality. 4 out of 5 stars from 39 voters. $38.95 at Zappos .

This sandal is the Chinese Laundry Diablo, and it comes in aqua blue and black also. I think the gold sole makes this a more dressy sandal, cute with a summer dress. It also got great reviews. $48.95 at Zappos .

This sandal is the Calvin Klein electra. It also comes in silver. It's simple, cute and can be worn with just about anything. $89 at Piperlime .

This sandal is the Pierre Dumas Kelly shoe and it comes in black, silver and gold. Simple and comfy. $39 at Piperlime .

These sandals are the Steve Madden Devinne shoe and they are super cute with a little more style than most. They have a zipper in back, but the extra cute factor make the extra step worth it. $89.95 at Steve Madden

These sandals are also Steve Madden, the Shockerr sandal. Snakeskin always looks great. $49.95 at Steve Madden.

May 29th, 2009 Christian Louboutin Differa 140 sandals

When I first saw these FABULOUS Christian Louboutin shoes, I wasn't sure what sort of outfit would look best with them, but I think the LBD shown is perfect. The multiple straps and shiny gold metallic leather give this shoe a sort of futuristic look that looks really great with simple attire, allowing the shoe to be the focal point. This shoe has a fierce 5.5 inch heel and a 1 inch platform. Available at Net a Porter, $1,495.

I get that most of us can't spend this kind of dough during a recession, so below the Louboutins are a few less expensive alternatives.

May 29th, 2009 Crocs Cyprus high heel shoe

Oh no they didn't! Truly an abomination, Crocs have come out with a high heeled version of their popular waterproof sandal. The original shoe is cute on a child or baby, but should be off limits for grown ups. Obviously this high heel cyprus shoe is aimed at adult women, but I can't imagine anyone actually wearing them. Typically it's fashion conscious women that wear high heeled shoes in the first place, but 'fashion conscious' and 'crocs' are contrary. They have a 3 inch heel and are said to be comfortable. I would do the Cole Haan Nike sole for comfortable high heels myself. They want $50 for these things.

May 29th, 2009 Stewart Weitzman Snakeskin Embossed Sandals

Sometimes the most appropriate shoe is simple, yet elegant. For such occasions this Stewart Weitzman shoe is perfect. This is also a great shoe for someone that has beautiful feet since it shows the whole foot. Just remember to get a pedicure before you wear them.

This shoe also comes in silver and black. It has a very comfortable 3.5 inch heel. It's on sale, $315 $194 at Zappos .
