June 16th, 2009 Christian Louboutin Striped Ankle Boot

My next total obsession on LuisaViaRoma is this amazing Christian Louboutin striped ankle boot. As you can tell, I’m really into bold stripes for fall. It’s an amazing trend!

There is something so raw and beautiful about these shoes. I love the contrast of the black leather and the gray suede, but the stitching makes this [...]

June 16th, 2009 Hall of Shame: RSVP “Cammy” vs. L.A.M.B. “Tailynn”

As part of our redesign, we wanted to introduce a new feature, The Hall of Shame. The Hall of Shame is reserved to call out shoes that are blatant knockoffs of another designer’s shoe.

At The Shoe Goddess, we have nothing against cheaper brands (even though we mostly write about designer shoes). In fact, I frequently buy [...]

June 16th, 2009 Charlotte Olympia “Greta” Striped Pump

Like Florence said yesterday, when I first heard that Luisa Via Roma had their new shoes online, I rushed to the website, and I was not disappointed! In fact, I was breathless with shoe adoration and obsessing! And, of course, I had to start plotting what I just had to have! My first must-have is [...]

June 16th, 2009 Casadei African Suede Sandals

I'm loving these Casadei shoes. The dressier version of this shoe (which I love), made with sequins and black patent leather, has been out for a few months, but you can't wear them with much. This shoe is a bit more laid back and would look great with a sun dress or jeans. They are beige suede and have a circular decoration on the front, embellished with multi-coloured beads and embroidery in an African tribal pattern. They have a contrasting metal-finished platform and sky high 5.12 inch stiletto heel. That's a little high for my taste, but the 1 inch platform should help a little. These shoes are really hot and already selling out in many sizes! $1,036 at Farfetch.com.

June 16th, 2009 Steven by Steve Madden ‘Bevian’ shoe

I have to hand it to Steve Madden, he designs really cool shoes at a reasonable price. I have been buying his heels for the last ten years. My taste is getting more expensive these days, but if I want a new cute shoe and not alot of cash, I head to Steve Madden. His Fall 2009 collection is available for pre-order and this "Bevan" zippered shoe is one of them. It is from his more stylish Steven collection. This shoe comes in four colors – black leather, grey leather, grey suede and purple suede. It has a 4.5 inch heel. $170. Pre-order at Steve Madden .

June 16th, 2009 Christian Louboutin Paola Lace Ankle Boot

I'm loving these lace ankle boots from Christian Louboutin. The boot is structured, but the beautiful black and white lace is transparent so you can see the entire foot. So subtly sexy! The boot has a slightly pointed toe and a zip fastening runs down the back. It has a 4.5 inch heel. The classic Louboutin red sole and the lace make for an exquisite, year round shoe. I LOVE this shoe and may very well forgo buying food in order to get it. $1,027 at BrownsFashion.com

June 16th, 2009 Cut Out Wedge Shoes

This cut out wedge trend isn't going away any time soon, as evidence by the various designers, both high and low end, making this style for Summer as well as upcoming Fall. I recently saw them on someone, and I have to admit, they look pretty cool and elicit many compliments. Cut out wedge shoes range in price depending on the designer. Guiseppe Zanotti has a lovely cut out wedge for about $700 and Prada has a nice cut out sandal for about $550, but these cut out Calvin Klein shoes are more recession (depression?) friendly, $98. They are snake embossed leather with comfortable elastic straps on the ankle and have a 3.75 inch heel. Buy here .

June 16th, 2009 Loriblu Red Satin and Swarovski Crystal Sandal

These Loriblu Red Satin and Swarovski Crystal Sandals are not only beautiful, but also realistic and wearable for the average woman. With heel height towering at the 5 and 6 inch range, it's nice to see a beautiful shoe with a 3.5 inch heel. Personally, that's my favored height. It's not too high, not too low, and I can wear them sitting and standing throughout the evening. These Loriblu shoes are red satin and swarovski crystals with a shiny stiletto stacked heel. This is a great shoe to add a little color to the LBD. Available at Forzieri, $595.

June 16th, 2009 Giuseppe Zanotti Cabochon-Studded Pump

I'm loving the latest Giuseppe Zanotti shoes. These Cabochon-Studded Pumps are absolutely gorgeous and would look great with sooo many outfits. I'm all about bling on my feet, so of course I want these. Although these shoes are detailed with gemstones, the pattern is conservative and the gems themselves aren't flashy, so they could even look appropriate in a business setting. They have a .5 inch hidden platform and a modest 3.3 inch heel, a comfortable height you should be able to wear often. Available at Bergdorf Goodman, $925.
