I have an obsession with plaid shoes, so you can imagine how thrilled I was to find these amazing DSquared2 Plaid Platform Pumps! I must have these shoes!

I really love everything about this pump. The black and white plaid with just a touch of red will work so beautifully in the fall and winter. The [...]

August 5th, 2009 Giuseppe Zanotti Metallic Pump

Giuseppe Zanotti just continues to impress me this season. I recently reviewed a bronze Giuseppe metallic bootie, and this pump is similar, but I love it even more!

The pewter patent leather is fabulous. It’s a great alternative to silver. Actually I prefer it more because silver leather can go garish at times. My favorite part [...]

August 5th, 2009 Guiseppe Zanotti Cut Out Boots

Guiseppe Zanotti Cut Out Boots

Guiseppe Zanotti shoes are known to be fabulous, cutting edge designs and these boots live up to the stellar reputation. I'm not crazy about dropping loads of cash on something I can only wear one season of the year, so I'm loving the new trend of multi season boots, ie. boots with lots of cut-outs that you can wear in the summer, as well as in the winter with tights.

These shoes are black leather and have a metallic 4 inch heel. They may not be the best dancing shoe, but you will look quite fabulous sitting and being admired. $700 at zappos.com .

Pictured is Beyonce wearing the knee high version of this shoe, but I like the lower boot better, especially if it's paired with a little dress or shorts.

August 5th, 2009 Raparo Crocodile Platform pumps

I’m a huge fan of exotic skins, and these Raparo shoes are not only an incredible design, but are  100% crocodile skin! I am so in love with everything about them. The material combined with the neutral, conservative brown color make this shoe the epitome of style and sophistication. I picture a beautiful, powerful CEO of a multi million dollar company wearing these with an Armani suit. Or me.

They have a 4.75 inch crocodile leather covered tapered heel and a 1.5 inch partially covered platform, a slightly pointed stitched toe with wide cut-out straps with small elastic bands in between.

Wear with absolutely everything.

Available at LUISAVIAROMA.COM $1,540.

August 5th, 2009 Designer Shoes on Sale!

Louisaviaroma is having a big summer sale, including many shoes from the spring/summer 2009 collections. They even have quite a few pre-fall boots on sale, so if you're in the market for designer shoes, it's worth checking out, and the prices include shipping and import tax.  LUISAVIAROMA.COM

Here are a few that I really like:

These Haider Ackerman shoes are 50% off. They look really cool on, the suede flap covers the top of the foot, but exposes the bottom half.

August 5th, 2009 Nicholas Kirkwood Patent Leather Shoe Boot

Finally! I have been waiting for the Nicholas Kirkwood fall 2009 shoes forever. I always love his shoes because they are incredibly interesting and unique designs. This patent leather shoe isn't even my favorite from the collection, but I do love it. It features his signature fanned out sides, architectural heel and platform. The shoe is mostly black patent leather, with matte leather detail at the front and snakeskin embossed leather piping. This is a great shoe to go with anything from a dress to slightly distressed jeans (not to be mistaken for acid wash monstrosities). They have a 5.5 inch heel and a 1 inch platform. Available at Browns, $882.

August 5th, 2009 Christian Louboutin Robot 120 Ankle Boots

I have a love/ hate opinion of these Christian Louboutin shoes. They remind me of C3PO from Star Wars, however, can you imagine how they would stand out, especially if paired with simple black skinny jeans and a black top? That would be a fabulous look, and one, dare I say, I would attempt myself. The gold patent leather looks especially beautiful with the famous red sole. These shoes have a 4.5 inch heel and a .5 inch hidden platform. $1,295 at Net a Porter. *** These are a spring '09 shoe and will probably be reduced in price pretty soon.

August 5th, 2009 Givenchy Wide Ankle Boots

These Givenchy boots are so my speed. They're high society meets country western and my idea of the perfect jeans boot. The slightly distressed leather and rope tassel detail give this shoe a western flair while the 4 inch heel and pointed toe are standard chic. They are slip on and wide enough to tuck your jeans into. $1,295 at Saks.
